Columbia, Penn State, Princeton top NCAA Polls
Entering the NCAA Regionals weekend, Columbia and Penn State stand tied in the NCAA Fencing Coaches Poll atop the men’s fencing rankings while unbeaten Princeton sits at the top of the women’s fencing rankings.
Columbia boasts a 90% win percentage on its 27-3 season record but is tied with Penn State – a team that sits at 21-3 (an 87.5% win percentage). Penn State received 4 out of 10 first place votes in the poll following Columbia’s loss to Princeton in the Ivy League Championships. Columbia and Penn State split dual meets this season and Penn State’s other losses were in January to Notre Dame and Harvard.
The Princeton women’s team were a unanimous #1 as they are currently on a 51 meet win streak during dual meet action.
